Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Girls Christmas program

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Sunday evening was the children's Christmas program at Calvary Baptist Church where Mike and I attend. The twins were in the program, along with my two grand-nephews, Elijah and Isaiah, and alot of other children that we know and love. Many have passed thru the Sunday School class I help with (2-3 year olds). It was well done and the kids recited several verses from the Christmas story. Lots of songs and one "dancer" on stage who was just as cute as can be. Michael was in my class till recently. He showed a lot of enthusiasm and kept the kids and the crowd entertained. Paige and Peyton had lots of people there especially for them (and cousins Lauren and Brookelyn). They all did really good and we were proud to be there. A. Jamie took pics and has hers posted on her blog. She sent them to me, but you know how I am about pics; it is difficult for this old codger (can a lady be a codger?) to do pics. Hope all have a wonderful Christmas season and remember that Christ came at Christmas to live a perfect life and die on the cross for our sins, and that He arose to prepare a place for us, Hallelulah, Amen. F.
