Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Fun in the sun

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Yesterday, my friend Linda and I took our grandkids to Sholem Park in Champaign for a day of swimming, water slides, and, of course, a picnic. We had the BEST time!! The kids get along super well and were all good. Oldest will be 14, then 11,9,8,8,7. The nine and the eights are girls. They have this tube water slide that takes you VERY fast down a slide to the laaaazzzzy river! Fun, but scared me half to death!! The kids are all good swimmers which makes the grandparenting a lot easier. But we still kept good track of them, which wasn't easy cause there were LOTS of people there. Linda and I always manage to have a good time together, and it is especially nice with the kids. Mike and Jack stayed home and done stuff??? Thanks to the moms and dads for giving us quality time with your kids. Love F.
