Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Congratulations to a great nurse

Great is Thy faithfulness, Oh God my Father~ My dear friend Renee is retiring. I'm not sure the hospital can take that kind of change. She holds up at least 3 walls of the place. We met back in nursing school. She came in one year after me (1964). She worked on old 1 South for a long time. Stayed home for awhile and raised two great kids, Shannon and Mark. Husband Frank worked at the VA until he retired. They now have 3 grandchildren and one on the way. Beautiful kids. When I was sick she was so faithful to check on me, and encourage me. I loved her mother, Jane. Actually, I gave the Eulogy at Jane's funeral. I never met Mr. Pinegar, as he died before I knew Renee. Renee was faithful to her mother and her needs. She is a great advocate. Her job at the hospital allowed her to perfect that skill. If YOU need help, she's the one to contact, believe me. And so, on this day in January, 2010, I salute you, Jacqueline Renee Estock, on a job well done.
