Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

A kidney stone, can you believe it?

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.I awakened at midnight with a back ache. A really bad back ache. Also noted blood in my urine. So, got in the bathtub for 20 minutes, which really helped, and fell back to sleep. Woke up at 0630 with that same back pain that kinda reached around to my groin area. More hematuria. Got back in the tub again, and began drinking my bottled water as fast as possible. No improvement, so Mike took me to Covenant to the ER. (figured if San had her baby, I'd at least be in the same building). I passed the stupid thing after some hours of IV's and pain meds. Never had a stone in my long life. Of course, Mike and Jamie have had several each. Boy, can I commiserate. CT scans showed swelling of the ureter and an enlarged kidney that is probably fine now. I DO NOT want to do this ever again. Thank the LORD that San didn't go in today. I missed my Bible Study; but, you know, sometimes, things just happen, and plans have to be changed. Praise the Lord with me for His goodness; I could've had surgery and lithotrypsy, or who knows what. But I walked out of there with a bandaid on my old IV site. Thank you Jesus.

Oh my goodness. I feel for you. I have had them twice and it is a horrible type of pain - all consuming. I hope you are feeling better today. Were you dehydrated? I wonder what caused it. LOL You Reese's are a close knit family, but geez do you have to share everything -even kidney stones?

I see you changed your header. I guess the twins part needed updating. (((Hugs))) to you my friend. Stay well. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Quite an experience. Don't want to do it again; I'm very droopy today and still having spasms. I drink bottled water all the time. But, my spec. was very tea-colored yesterday morning. By the time I got to the hospital, it was pink. I didn't know you'd had them. Sandy goes to the MD today. Pray for good news!!
