Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

High School Reunion (just the ladies) 1963

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. I just returned from a wonderful visit with my high school class of 1963 friends. Most of them I went all 12 (no K-garten) years with, so we know each other very well. Our friend, Sandra, was absent, with a sick daughter and son-in-law and grandkids. Also, my classmate Dave, his wife Carolyn didn't make it. We have taken her on as a classmate, she fits in perfectly. Norma also gets us together. She is the ring leader, I just love her. She likes horses, always has. And she helps older people get to MD appointments etc now that she has retired. Kathryn is still working in a bank in Marshall, Il. Love her too. As she says, she tells it like it is. I have fond memories of her and Norma. One of my close friends was Linda. We got to sit together today. We had a good visit. She has taught school in our same school district for a long time. Her husband's grandparents and my grandparents were bestest friends. Her sister was there too, helping serve. Love them too. Then there is Carol. My mother always called her Dorothy Carol, which was her name, but only mother called her that. She is a professor of X-ray at Terre Haute. Her husband does the same thing. She is a great person, I so admire her. Then there is Christine, who is very quiet, but not missing a thing!! She had a great big family which I always envied, me being an only child. Now to Nancy. Nancy is a one of a kind. She sneaks in and pays for all our meals, brings us presents, entertains us with funny stories, or sometimes not so funny. She works at Purdue University and the boys at her frat house obviously love her to death. I do too. Sure did miss Sandra though. We rarely see each other, and in high school, were inseparable. She just retired from teaching in the Columbus In. school systems. Her husband taught there also. Their entire career. We have lost Phyllis, several years ago. I love these ladies. I know they love me too. When I was sick a couple years ago, these ladies picked me up and I knew they were supporting me, even from a distance. Blessings to all of you. Your ole buddy, Fran
