Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

New Bible study started

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. I am very excited about a new Bible Study I am in with my friend, Linda and her daughter-in-law, Toni. It is on the life of Moses, a 2 hour per week study in south Champaign. The group is called Bible Study Fellowship, and it is a well planned, used for years, program, one that has child care provided for the young ladies, and small groups for discussion, and group singing. I haven't sang a gospel song with Linda in a long time. I loved it!! We used to sing together alot in the church. Or, we would be playing instruments for others to sing. The study delves into ancient Egyptian culture and how smart they were but pagan nevertheless. God provided care for Mother while I was gone and I'm so grateful to Mike for taking care of all that. He KNEW I'd enjoy myself and I did. I'm asking for continued prayer for Mother who is nearing 91 years young now. She has pneumonia, was treated over the weekend in the ER and is now trying to recover with pills and rest, and liquids. I also have a dear friend who is very ill, her initials are BP and although much younger that me, we have been workmates and friends for many years. Pray with me that God gives her and family members great comfort in these days. Have a good day. F>
