Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Peyton at Conference Swim Meet

On Saturday, Mike and I took a ride to Paxton for the Conference Swim Meet that Peyton participated in. She did very well. It was a very hot day and there were 60 events, each with 1-3 heats. Long Day........ Peyton was in the very first relay; she came in first!!!! Then she was in the 51rst relay; she came in first again!!! SO, it was worth the wait. She just glides thru the water. (Do I sound like a doting grandmother?) Anyway, we had fun watching her and some of the other kids we've come to know. Jamie went to the races the next day; so I mostly stayed with Mother. When I learn how to do pictures, maybe my blog will be more interesting. This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Franny, i have so loved reading your comments and now your blog. i have not written on my blog for quite a while. i do not know how to down load photos. i cannot get any of my kids to sit still long enough to show me how. You have been a great inspiration to me through your comments. i want you to know that since the time that i met you at Calvary you have been one of my role models( there are 3). i want so desperately to be the type of mother that you are to your girls. Your wisdom and love that you have shown through the difficult times with your girls inspire me to keep a ongoing, growing relationship with Jesus. My 2 older kids do not serve the Lord. They have chosen to walk in the world. My hope is that this will be only a "season", and they will come back to the God that they once served. My Molly got married on the 5th of July. Her husband is a really neat guy. Jill has a pic of them from the wedding. i hope to post the photos as soon as i learn how. Thank you for being such a wonderful mentor. God Bless!!!....t (Teri Humrichous)
