Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

New shrubs out front

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.Mike and I just got back from Lowe's. We got some new (4) shrubs for the front of our house. He tore the old out earlier this year. The front yard gets no sun, so nothing grows very well there. We got 4 small ones and will have Peyton and Paige help us plant them. Paige and I planted some wild flowers and boy, did they grow!!! The only problem was we planted them a little ??? too close together. So I tore some of those out and hope the rest will come back up during the rest of summer. One thing about planting things close together is you can't tell what's a weed and what's not!! Paige and I had fun anyway. The girls like to work with Mike in his shop. They fill the bird feeders and water the tiger lillies, etc. And I'm sure it won't be long before they start in with the power tools! I'd love to hear from you out there, so post me any time.

Welcome to blog world, Fran!

You forgot to add that you have wonderful backyard neighbors as well! (wink, wink! hehe!) Well, we might not be wonderfully wonderful, but we do love the same people you do!
