Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Recital at First Bapt.

Great is Thy faithfulness, Oh God my Father~ Our twins played in their first recital with their new teacher, Miss Sharon, last night. They did super. So did their cousins, and many of our friends' grandkids. I love that they are going to know how to play piano. I was 6 years old when I had my first lesson. Stopped at 16. Never learned chords or to memorize. The girls are already learning this stuff!!! Little Reese was a good girl for the program. James got to get away from the Police Academy for the evening to attend with Sandy. James' mom Pat and our Aunt Jamie were there, too. Plus the Thornsbrough bunch, as not only Peyton and Paige performed but also Lauren and Brooke. I am so proud of them. And my nursing roommate, Judy, and her husband Ron were there to hear their granddaughter Emily play. And Joel and Sharon T. were there to hear their grandson Samuel. And Katie B. and Kirk W. played also. Plus the Wells girls. We are going to have some up and coming pianists in our church. Thrills me to know that. Blessings, Fran
