Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Happy Birthday, Fran

Great is Thy faithfulness, Oh God my Father~ Today has been a very blessed time for me. I was born May 23, 1945, to Leonard William and Helen Harness Conner. Best parents in the world!! Miss them so much. Dad passed in 1968 and Mother just last May 9. Dad missed out on my husband, daughters, and granddaughters (and James). Mother missed Reese's birth. But, she knew we were expecting. My twin granddaughters, Peyton and Paige, are taking piano lessons. Today was my turn at offertory for morning worship, so I asked Peyton to play her recital piece, The Chapel Bells, with me playing the teacher part. She agreed and we did that this morning. Then, G-ma Pat and Auntie Jame were there, and the twins in big church because James and Sandy dedicated Reese Madelynn Snyder to the Lord Jesus this morning, with a promise from the church body to help raise her to accept the Lord as Savior at an early age and live a life pleasing to Him. Then, we all went out to eat together. I got flowers, a book (Laura Bush), a cake, and a lovely hanging basket. God is sooo good to me. I was born again when I was 12 years old at my home church south of Chrisman. Thanks to my parents for the godly upbringing. In spite of that I made some whopping mistakes. But, He forgives, praise the Lord. I think of all the new graduates this year, remembering my own graduation from high school in 1963. So young and so vulnerable. But, my choice of vocation was right on. I believe that it was lead by the Lord as I had a satisfying career in nursing for all these years. Never knew anything else. Don't know how to do anything else. I am very proud of my family. Both girls are saved. My husband accepted the LORD just a few months before we met. (Thanks Ann and Don!). And both the twins are saved. My son-in-law is a child of God also. There is no greater joy......... God has blessed me with many friends and some special cousins to fill in the "only child" hole. And Mike came from a family of 7. Nuff said...
