Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

The Reese Family Christmas

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. We had a BLAST at our annual Christmas party. We talked, sang, played games, ate, and listened to the Christmas Story from Luke 2, plus a story by Uncle John Reese about St. Nicholas. We missed those who were unable to be here with us. We had 6 little ones (don't tell them I called them little!!). Peyton, Paige, Elijah, Isaiah, Savannah, and Beau. 9,9,7,5,3,and 1yr. Our immediate family was all here: Mike, me, Jamie, James, Sandy, Peyton, Paige, and little Reese. I didn't count Reese in the little ones 'cause she didn't get to sit at the kids table!! John, Shawn, Stephanie and Gary, Isaiah, and Elijah, Riley and Anna, Katy, John, and Luke, and Hope, Jonathan, Savannah, and Beau. Kelly, Mike, Jordan, Janelle, and Joseph. We read from the Sidell paper about the "Best Party in Town" Christmases we used to have when my in-laws were with us. Kelly brought me a hostess gift, a wonderful candle from Home Interiors, which I immediately lit. Ummm. The LORD has blessed our family. The children are all healthy and thriving. Oh, we are not without our troubles and woes, bumps in the road, whatever you'd like to call them. But, as born-again Christians, we know that all things work together for good, for those that are the called according to His purpose. God has done a miracle in sister Ann's son-in-law, Jerry. A new, functioning kidney. Praise the Lord for that. We miss those that have gone on, including Bruce, June, and Ann, and my dear parents. This is my first Christmas without my mother. I miss her. But, we go on. Merry Christmas to all of my family and friends.

I think 'saiah is 4. Same as Levi, only a few months older. I bet he'd like to be 5 though

He isn't in our class anymore, but then maybe they leave when they turn 4. Sorry.
