Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

The Christmas Program at Calvary

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Mike and I just returned from the annual Christmas concert at our church, Calvary Baptist Church. To our surprise, the twins' aunt, Brittany, had been working with her two girls and Peyton and Paige, on a song that they all sang for tonight's program. NO ONE KNEW!!!! Brittany's parents didn't know either. Paige had asked her auntie Jamie to come tonight, because "the children choir was going to sing". They did, they even sang Aunt Shawn's signature Christmas song, "Come on ring those Bell", and did sign language with her. A big group of them, including Brittany's kids and Stephanie's boys, Elijah and Isaiah. Two other families sang, the Bortcherts, who sang a sweet song about a gift for Jesus, and the two older Herzogs with their dad. Very special. So thanks to Brittany for making tonight very special. And to Aunt Shawn for asking me to accompany her ladies quartet. It stretched me, which is good, and I worked hard. Ane the ladies did a great job with a really good song. Our choir was amazing. Pastor Andy was awesome. Go Calvary!!

It was so much fun planning and practicing this surprise for all of the grandparents (and P&P's mommy!). The four girls keep a pretty awesome secret! It was fun being part of it. I'm so blessed to have those four girls in my life.
