Welcome to my blog!!

I have so enjoyed FB and blogging. I love reading others, friends, and younger people who are so good with words. It is my prayer that I be a servant to others. To lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is of chief importance to me. My work at the Cancer Center gave me many opportunities to do just that; the center was part of a Catholic institution that had ...."in the Spirit of Jesus Christ"..... in the Mission Statement. God gave me a boldness like never before. I also love journal keeping. I have several. The one I am currently using will run out before Dec. 31. I love it; it has a photo of the four grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Reese, and Sully on it. Plus a Christmas greeting on the inside page. I keep sermon notes and daily stuff on those pages. Mike said, "Do you ever go back and read what you write?" Answer YES. Regularly.

Revival Time at Calvary

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today started a Sunday thru Wednesday revival meeting event at Calvary Baptist. It is with Tom Harmon, who has been here many times. He was a Michigan State Trooper for 12 years prior to his becoming an evangelist. It is always a good thing when he comes; he has a way of making one think about his position in Christ, and that without that position by salvation, we are hopelessly lost. It such a joy to see people respond to the Word of God and know it is life changing. I've been saved since I was 12 years old, but am moved and encouraged by hearing men of God speak as Pastor Scott does, as Pastor Joe did, and as Tom Harmon does. (Pastor Joe still does, just not to us anymore, except at funerals). I love church. I love being a part of a body, one that cares for each other, and shows it in many different ways. Today, I missed my friend Sue as she would have been right in the thick of this, holding the babies, and maybe being able to slip out and hear part of the message if there is enough help in the nursery. If not, then I'm sure Bill told her about it. Hope your Sunday is a good one like mine. Now, I'm going to go watch some more basketball........Sorry about Illinois. Go Purdue!!
