The old red couch
This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. We finally got new living room furniture. Our old red couch was in good shape, no one ever set on it due to verrrry uncomfortable, but it served a purpose for, well, we got it in 1976. I have been wanting to change out my living room for a long time. I asked for crown molding, but Mike says no to that. I also want to change my fireplace. They do it all the time on HGTV, why can't we do it, too? He says we can change the fireplace in the cold weather when he can't be outside doing something else. I'm ok with that. We were without anything in the living room for about a month, and the twins loved it!!!!! It was like a gym, disco place, ice rink, stage, you name it!! Probably, if I was to ask them, they would say the "no furniture" look was their favorite. You know, there is something about new furniture, be it a lamp, lamp shade, or whole room of it that just makes you feel good.......I know the old red couch is in good hands; very special people now sit on it ( if they really want to). The LORD has been good to our family. We have a new son-in-law, James, who is so good to us all, and easy to love. Jame is really into photography, and is quite good at it (brag, brag). And Sandy and the girls are happy. Mother is declining but we are all doing our best to make her content and comfortable. She will be 91 in December. Help me to pray for her as she was so good to help everyone else in her day.
